Our PILLARS Bank Islam Strengthening Security With the increased proliferation of digital technology within the banking industry, cyber security has become a key concern as Bank Islam is about to embark on its own digitalisation initiatives. In protecting the interest of our customers and their data in a responsible manner, our approach is to conduct multiple cyber security programmes that focus on threats and vulnerabilities. During the year under review, we have established the following frameworks and policy, designed to increase our readiness in handling the threats and eliminating vulnerabilities within the system: • Technology Risk Management Framework • Cyber Resiliency Framework • Technology Risk and Cyber Resiliency Policy A cyber security awareness programme was conducted in collaboration with relevant external parties during Bank Islam’s Mega Conference 2019 to further increase awareness and knowledge of the Bank’s employees on emerging and prevailing threats and trends.
