In 2019, the programme was conducted in the state of Sabah from 11 to 13 July, covering 12 mosques, six offices and a university, with about 300 participants. Islamic Banking and Social Finance Masterclass A seminar on Islamic banking and social finance, specifically for Islamic social media influencers and da’i (a person who participates in da’wah activities, the act of inviting people to get engaged with Islamic topics and matters). The programme is meant to inspire the public to gain related knowledge and further propagate the subjects through influencers. In 2019, more than 70 participants attended the seminar. Enhancing Visibility of Shariah Values BIMB Securities continues to promote the viability of Islamic stockbroking and securities services through various engagements with institutional and retail clients: Site visits to various public companies Engagement with Lembaga Tabung Haji through knowledge-sharing and property talk sessions Economic presentation to Employees Provident Fund Oil & Gas Teach-in Sessions with BIMB Investment Fundamental and Technical Analysis workshops as well as knowledge sharing for Retail Clients BIMB Securities has also taken in eight interns from Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Universiti Malaya and Sunway University. The interns are expected to gain and share their knowledge on stockbroking dealings based on Shariah rules and principles.
