As part of the Company’s product innovation technology and its quest to fulfilling the different needs of multiple groups of customers, a new tranche of Takaful solutions has been introduced during the year under review. Doing our part for the environment within the Oil & Gas sector Bank Islam facilitated the implementation of green technology by providing financing for TiME Marine Services Sdn. Bhd. (“TiME Marine”) for its ‘Onshore Hydrocarbon Recovery from Sludge’ project. The project is the result of PETRONAS Technology Challenge, a technology crowdsourcing initiative that aims to pursue innovative solutions to address PETRONAS operational challenges. TiME Marine’s solution includes biodegradable chemical property and mechanical technology that can effectively recover hydrocarbon, water and other solids from oily sludge.
