Bank Islam Integrated Annual Report 2024

INVESTOR RELATIONS Engaging with investors is a key priority for us, as cultivating strong and positive relationships with the investment community through consistent communication helps achieve fair valuations of our performance. Effective stakeholder engagement and sound investor relations practices are key factors in building and maintaining investors’ confidence in the Group. These efforts also help refine our strategies and policies, formulate sustainable business practices, reduce share price volatility, and enhance transparency. We utilise multiple communication platforms to ensure consistent and effective engagement with investors, including announcements via BursaLINK and disclosures on our website. Additionally, we engage directly through our Investor Relations function, which includes one-on-one meetings, group investor meetings, conferences, conference calls, and emails. Our investor engagement efforts are tailored to meet the needs of key financial audiences, including institutional shareholders, investors, financial analysts (both sell-side and buy-side), fund managers, and credit rating agencies. These queries and their accompanying responses have been documented and are also available on our corporate website. Engagements with LTH and EPF help foster trust and strengthen relationships by sharing insights and keeping them updated on Bank Islam’s and the Group’s strategies and performance. These engagements also enable a better understanding of their concerns, thereby securing sustainable access to capital. Meanwhile, continued engagement with analysts and fund managers beyond quarterly briefings, contributed to improved stock ratings and increased exposure to foreign shareholders.
