COMMUNICATION WITH STAKEHOLDERS The Board acknowledges the importance of effective communication channels between the Board, stakeholders, institutional investors and the investing public at large to provide a clear and complete picture of the Group’s performance and position as best as possible. In this regard, the Group has a comprehensive Investor Relations programme to enable existing and potential shareholders and investors understand its activities, strategy and financial performance and sustainability initiatives through timely and accurate information to the investing community. This is done to allow shareholders and investors to make informed decisions about Bank Islam. The Board is fully committed to maintaining high standards in the dissemination of relevant and material information on the developments of the Group given its commitment to effective and comprehensive disclosure. The Bank’s investor relations activities are also carried out to ensure that there is regular and effective communication with fund managers, analysts and our various other stakeholders. The engagement and communication are vital in inculcating a healthy relationship between the Bank and stakeholders and are critical for the sustainable growth of our business, as this gives stakeholders an insightful perspective of the bank and our operations. In this regard, we have consistently maintained a close and active dialogue with relevant stakeholder groups such as regulatory agencies, employees, shareholders, investors, consumers and the general public, non-governmental associations and suppliers. Their views and concerns on the Bank’s business, its policies on governance and ESG responsibility are given due consideration in our decision-making process. Quarterly results briefing sessions are conducted for analysts and fund managers after lodgement of results to Bursa Securities. All press statements and quarterly financial statements are published on the Bank Islam corporate website.
