Young Leaders Programme Sustainability-Related Training Programmes Objective • Identify and nurture high-potential fresh graduates from diverse backgrounds, with the primary goal of equipping and preparing them to become future top leaders at Bank Islam. What We Did in 2024 • In July 2024, we launched the Bank Islam Leadership and Self-Development Series (BLISS) for Young Leaders Programme (YLP) trainees, featuring a series of five modules designed to equip them with essential self-leadership skills. • This initiative aims to help participants quickly adapt to the working environment, navigate workforce challenges effectively, and develop into future leaders of BIMB. • Throughout the 18-month YLP journey, participants receive comprehensive support through mentoring programmes with senior leaders, a buddy system pairing them with experienced YLP trainees from previous batches, as well as group check-ins and one-on-one career conversations. • These elements are designed to provide personalised guidance and accelerate their professional growth. Outcomes and Results • Participants receive continuous mentoring, guidance, and structured learning experiences, enabling them to fast-track their personal and professional growth. • As a result, they are expected to be well-prepared and equipped to assume future leadership roles at Bank Islam, contributing to our long-term success. Objective • Equip employees with industry-relevant expertise so they can drive forth our sustainability agenda and assist our clients in expanding their use of sustainable finance.
