In 2024, we sought to upskill our workforce in safe work practices by attending the OSH Conference and offering a range of internal and external training programmes, as detailed below. OSH Conference Objective • Improve OSH standards and compliance across all branches and office premises through the acquisition of best practices. What We Did in 2024 • Conducted our most recent conference, which was officiated by YBrs. Ir. Zamzurin Maarof, Director of the Department of Occupational Safety and Health, Kuala Lumpur. • Iskandar Shah Zulkarnain, our Group Chief Human Resources Officer, highlighted the importance of enhancing our compliance with the OSH Act (Amendment) 2022, which took effect from 1 June 2024. • Two speakers from DOSH were invited to present on two key topics: Key revisions to the OSH (Amendment) Act 2022: Industry Implications, and Occupational Disease for Office Workers – The Do’s and The Don’ts. Outcomes and Results • 82 employees attended the conference, primarily consisting of members of our OSH Committee and sub-committees. Seminar Hebahan Akta Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan (Pindaan) 2022 dan Akta Kilang dan Jentera (Pemansuhan) 2022 Peringkat Zon Selatan DOSH One employee attended the seminar. OSH Coordinator Training Appointed training provider 293 employees attended the course (two per branch/outlet). The Importance of Ergonomics: Reducing Workplace Injuries and Discomfort Friday Hangout 879 employees attended the course. Effective Safety and Health Committee Training Appointed training provider 59 employees attended the course (All Head Office OSH Committee members and two representatives from each branch’s OSH Committee). Emergency Response and Preparedness Training Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia (BOMBA) 48 employees attended the course (including BCM coordinators and daily floor marshals of head offices).
