Enhancing Employee Safety We have adopted a comprehensive approach to OSH, aiming to ensure that all potential work-related hazards are identified and mitigated in an effective manner. To do this, our framework includes an experienced OSH Committee, a well-established OSH Policy, regular safety audits, and designated safety staff across our operational footprint. The OSH Committee plays a pivotal role in ensuring employee safety and well-being by undertaking the following responsibilities: • Formulating and implementing comprehensive OSH policies that are aligned with all relevant regulations. • Enforcing OSH policies across all locations through regular audits and inspections. • Regularly reviewing and updating OSH policies and practices to maintain their effectiveness in safeguarding employees’ health and safety. • Organising campaigns, workshops, and training sessions to foster a culture of safety awareness. • Providing informational materials on safe work practices and hazard identification to employees. • Investigating work-related incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence, and complying with Malaysia’s OSH Act (OSHA) reporting requirements. Each department designates floor marshals who play a critical role in ensuring safety and preparedness. Their responsibilities include: • Leading swift and coordinated actions during emergencies to ensure the safety of employees. • Proactively identifying potential risks and addressing hazards before they escalate. • Educating colleagues on safe work practices and empowering them to prioritise workplace safety. • Acting as a vital bridge between employees and emergency personnel during incidents to ensure effective communication and response. Our OSH Policy details clear standards in relation to workplace safety, including SOPs pertaining to all potential workplace hazards. We engage with our people on an ongoing basis to raise awareness of the policy and its contents. We conduct thorough audits at both headquarters and branches to ensure ongoing compliance with OSHA standards. In 2024, 10 branches received an A grade in the OSH Workplace Audit (OSHWA) conducted by state Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) officers.
