FINANCIAL WELLNESS Bank Islam Financial Wellness Week Objective • Promote financial literacy and empower employees with the knowledge and tools to manage their financial well-being effectively. What We Did in 2024 • Organised Financial Wellness Week, featuring webinars and financial education programmes including: • Simpan SSPN, Tanggungjawab Kita – 547 participants. • Taklimat Zakat Harta with PPZ – 720 participants. • Peranan PERKESO dalam Melindungi Pekerja – 877 participants. • Rahsia Jimat Cukai – 1,015 participants. • KWSP and Anda – 900 participants. • Empowering Employees for Sustainable Financial Futures: Skills, Tools, and Strategies – 228 participants. Outcomes and Results • Improved employee understanding of important topics in personal financial planning, empowering them to more effectively plan for their future. Complementing the Live Well programme, KBI organises a range of sports and other recreational activities, bringing our employees together while encouraging them to lead more healthy and active lives. As of end-2024, KBI had 4,702 members from across our workforce. Major Events and Activities in 2024 • Hosted Karnival Sukan KBI on 13-14 September 2024 at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Gambang, Pahang, with 1,158 employee athletes and 80 member volunteers. • Organised 38 activities for members and non-members, covering diverse areas such as cultural, sports, and educational initiatives, including: Annual National Contingents Environmental Sustainability Initiative Religious and Educational Programmes Sports and Outdoor Activities • Participation in the Majlis Sambutan Maal Hijrah in July. • Participation in the Majlis Sambutan Maulidur Rasul in September. • ESG Pengembaraan Berkayak Penanaman Bakau in October, where members planted mangrove trees at Bagan Lalang, Sepang. • Monthly Program Bacaan Yassin and Program Bicara Ilmu sessions held virtually. • KBI Run Wednesday in July at KLCC Park. • Tanggathon Challenge 2.0 in October. • KBI HQ Fun Run in November. • Competitive tournaments, including Kejohanan Sepak Takraw Terbuka, Kejohanan Futsal Piala GCEO, and Kejohanan Paintball KBI. • Nature-based challenges, such as the Cabaran Gunung Berembun, Lata Langsir, Terengganu in May.
