In tandem with this, we have progressively expanded our solar panel installation initiative, first launched in 2022. LED Retrofitting • We replaced conventional lighting systems with energy-efficient light-emitting diode (LED) lights in two phases: • Phase 1 (covering 10 floors from 2023 to 2024). • Phase 2 (covering 11 floors in 2024). • This reduced electricity consumption, lowered energy costs, and minimised maintenance expenses. Centralised Workspace During Festive Holidays • During the Hari Raya festive holidays, on-site employees were required to work in a common area on Level 10. • This effectively reduced electricity usage in other parts of the building. EV Charger Installation • An EV charger was installed on Level 3 of the MBI car park to support sustainable transportation and promote EV adoption. HVAC Optimisation • The centralised air conditioning system at MBI is maintained at 24°C to balance comfort with energy efficiency, reducing unnecessary energy consumption.
