SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY AND ROADMAP At Bank Islam, we have developed an inclusive approach to sustainability that is firmly rooted in the principles of Value-based Intermediation (VBI) and Shariah values. Our strategies are further informed by the evolving banking regulatory environment, our LEAP25 aspirations, and the UNSDGs, supporting us to maximise shared value creation and minimise risks to our business. These core considerations informed the creation of our Sustainability Roadmap and five Sustainability Commitments, which guides us in delivering our vision of being a bank that advances prosperity for all. Commitment 2: To grow Sustainable Finance to RM28 billion by FY2025. Commitment 3: Achieve a carbon neutral position in operational conduct (Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions) by 2030 and achieve Net-Zero Carbon Emission by 2050. Commitment 4: Advocate real economy and nurture community upward mobility through entrepreneurship, ecosystem play and social finance: • Increase social finance beneficiaries from 200 to 3,000.
